Personal Thoughts: I've mostly used Medousa (yes, that's not a typo on my part, but how it's spelled in-game) versus the CPU. And mainly against Fire decks and especially Deity type monsters (most of them are seen in the 11th stages). I usually pair her up with a monster that can negate the nullify instant death ability (like Morpher Dryads, for example) the deities have. Medousa has really low AGI. Even though it's at 31, a Hermes' Boot or Fallen Angel Plumage can help get around that (not to mention the usual +3 AGI field effect).

Medousa's biggest problem is both her attacks consume 3 MP. After a short time (unless you've planned to have an abundance of mana stored beforehand), you'll find yourself running low. In most cases, Medousa can do well versus light and fire type monsters, but if the fight turns into a slugfest, Medousa will probably die off before you can kill the second monster with her. On the plus side, Medousa can deal dark damage, but she's not a dark element monster. That can help with some of the pesky CPU light decks. I've never really used her SP skill and her Reverse skill hasn't come in handy as much as I'd like it to.

Unfortunately, Medousa (like most of the other Deities) has this chronic lack of a permanent Ability going. So, the usual instant death, transform, element change, debuffs, can ruin her day.
