The six Elements are the key components to the gameplay of Elemental Monsters. Each element with the exception of the neutral element (void) has both a strength and a weakness. Strategic use of your monsters elements will very often make the difference between victory and defeat.
there are six total elements in Elemental Monsters:
The sixth element the the Void Element (which is the grey icon), there are no Void Element monsters.
Each of the Elements impacts the Damage that each monster deals and recives in battle. Void element is neutral to all other elements except Dark and Splash damage has no Element and there for is not effected by the Elements of each monster. Below is a chart of how a monster's Element affects damage, when a monster has more than one element damage is modified by both elements (see below).
|Damage per Attack||Fire Monster||Water Monster||Earth Monster||Light Monster||Dark Monster|
A monsters Element also allows it to recieve bonuses from the Field.
Dual Element Monsters:
Monster Cards with more than one element check each element before appling damage. Many monsters with dual elements will have different resistances.
|Damage Per Attack||Fire Attack||Water Attack||Earth Attack||Light Attack||Dark Attack||Void Attack|
|Light, Any Other||*||*||*||100%||200%||100%|
|Dark Any Other||*||*||*||200%||100%||50%|
- Dark and Light hybrids follow the rules of both elements. For example a Lightning Jellyfish is both Light Element and Water Element so it is resistant to Fire and weak to both Earth and Dark Elements.
